Announcing ‘The Thing’, a new series of eight short films starring Jarvis Cocker, Neil Tennant, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Goshka Macuga, Jeremy Scott, Hank Willis Thomas, Eric Mack and Haegue Yang.
The series begins on 19 October, with Creative Director of Moschino, Jeremy Scott, reflecting on a beret designed by the legendary Judy Blame which he found in Portobello Market.
Inspired by the long-running frieze d/e magazine column, ‘Das Ding’, in which influential artists, designers and musicians were asked to select a single object of significance from their working or living environment, this updated filmic adaptation is shot by acclaimed British director Peter Strickland and produced by Jacqueline Edenbrow of Frieze Studios. Each film is written and narrated by the featured artist.
